ABERYSTWYTH’S new Poundworld store is opening today Thursday, 21 April.

The new store, which will be based at the former Brantano store on the Ystwyth Retail Park, has created 30 jobs after taking on staff who were working for Brantano.

Jason Davige, Poundworld’s area manager, said the Aberystwyth store, which is the 323rd in the UK, was opening as part of an expansion which will see 60 new stores opened this year.

He added: “We’re looking forward to opening at Ystwyth Retail­ Park breathing new life into a currently empty retail space.”
