Cars are queuing around the block for one last Big Mac after McDonald’s announced that all its restaurants will be closing at 7pm tonight.

This is the scene outside Aberystwyth’s McDonald’s with cars queuing around the block as fast-food fans hope to get one last burger before the restaurant shuts.

Some parts of the UK have reported hour-long queues for the drive-through burgers.

All McDonald’s restaurants will be closing at 7pm tonight (Monday) for the safety of staff and customers.

In a statement, the company’s chief executive for the UK and Ireland, Paul Pomroy, said it had become clear that maintaining safe social distancing whilst operating busy takeaway and drive-thru restaurants was "increasingly difficult"

The restaurant previously closed its eating-in option last week.
