A BARMOUTH entrepreneur is in charge of one of Wales’ fastest-growing firms.

Ross Porter, who now lives in south Wales, recently achieved recognition for his business efforts when his recruitment firm, Clear Sky Recruitment, was ranked fourth fastest growing business in Wales at the 2017 Fast Grow 50 Awards in Cardiff recently.

Ross who is the son of Elizabeth and the late Paddy Porter of Heol Meirion, was born and bred in Barmouth before moving south in 1991 where he studied business and finance in Newport.

Ross, a former pupil of Ysgol Ardudwy Harlech, went on to carve a career in the recruitment industry and set up his first business in 1996, Draig Personnel, which he went on to sell to an international recruitment organisation for an undisclosed sum in 2011.

Ross returned to the recruitment arena in 2014 when he founded Clear Sky Recruitment.

Clear Sky Recruitment specialises in the supply of temporary and permanent staff to businesses in the manufacturing, construction and contact centre sectors of industry and it has developed a client base across the UK.

Ross’ business was ranked as the fastest growing multi-sector recruitment business in the 2017 Wales Fast Grow 50 and it was ranked the fourth fastest-growing business in Wales overall.
