With non-essential retail reopening on Monday, shoppers are being urged to stay safe when returning to the high street.
Non-essential retail will be allowed to reopen its doors from Monday, 12 April as lockdown measures are eased across Wales.
Shoppers returning to town centres are being urged by Ceredigion County Council to shop local and safely.
A spokesperson for the council said: “The coronavirus restrictions have had an impact on the local business market.
“Remember to buy local to support Ceredigion businesses to flourish once more.
“When visiting our towns and shops, remember to wear a face covering, keep a social distance and wash your hands or use hand sanitizer often. Respecting the measures businesses have in place ensures your safety, as well as shop workers and others out shopping.
“Local businesses are the heart of Ceredigion’s community, let’s continue to support these businesses whilst also giving the local economy a well needed boost.”
There are currently safe zones in place in Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Borth, Cardigan and New Quay, with the aim of making these communities more accessible and a safer place to visit.
Any business owner who would like information regarding grants available to them should visit www.ceredigion.gov.uk/coronavirus and look for ‘Supporting Ceredigion’s Economy’.
