A CARDIGAN bookmaker is to reopen the former Los Caballeros Restaurant in Pendre as The Steakhouse with the creation of six full and part-time jobs.

John Williams already has the Red Lion Inn at Pwllhai, is licensee of the Saddlers Arms in High Street and owns Celtic Racing Credit Betting Ltd.

The former Los Caballeros restaurant was previously the Commercial Hotel before closing in 2011. The Spanish-style eaterie ceased trading 10 months ago and has been closed since.

Cardigan Traders chairman Martyn Radley said: “It’s great news that the old Commercial is to re-open and we wish John every success for the future.”
