A diverse collection of winter shows to delight your visual senses are on display at Canfas in Cardigan.

Throughout December and into January you can see the work of Ceredigion artists including Adrian Bradbury, Ian Phillips and Nick Wild.

The work of image maker, fashion photographer, and digital artist, Adrian Bradbury, is on display in the main gallery. Inspired by his home in Aberporth, Adrian’s abstract colour work combines painting, drawing and digital photography through various steps and processes that combine digital and traditional techniques. Created from drawings and marks made on location his work explores the relationship between the abstraction of forms through shape, line and textures.

There are two rooms dedicated to the work of Aberystwyth-based artist Ian Phillips’ woodcuts and linocuts. Ian is an internationally renowned printmaker known best for his stunning linocut prints of the Welsh landscape which he has been hand-printing for over 20 years. He is also a member of the North Devon print collaboration, Pine Feroda, whose highly collectable woodcuts have been shown in the Royal Academy exhibition.

The gallery’s beautiful winter window exhibition is by local artist Nick Wild. It is his love of nature and deep fascination with birds and flight that comes together to create magical photorealistic paintings that show the glory of their subject in all their detail.

In addition, Canfas has work from a variety of artists on show throughout the gallery, including Elizabeth Haines, Lola Rose Chapman, Clare Rose, Peter Brown, Katie Allen, Anne Cakebread, Seren Stacey, Eloise Govier, Harriet Chapman, Pete Bodenham, Joe Frowen, Billy Adams, Neale Howells, Guto Morgan, Sean Robinson, Natalie Chapman, Sophie Turner, Simon Dorrell, James Charlton, Ag Cain and the Ffw?ligans.

The exhibitions run until Saturday, 29 January, and the gallery is open 10.30am–4pm, Monday to Saturday. Private appointments to visit the shows are available for those nervous about entering a public space or anyone unable to wear a mask and can be made by emailing [email protected] or phoning 01239 614344
