Aeron Valley Railway Society
THE society held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, 19 June, when we were entertained by a visit from Michael Clemens. Michael has a truly astonishing collection of archive film and still images.
He entertained with an interesting and varied selection from them, focussing on Midlands steam in the 1950s and 60s.
He provided the group with a stimulating commentary, inviting audience participation.
The meeting was well-attended and everyone present had a most enjoyable evening. They look forward to welcoming Michael back in the future.
They would like to remind everyone that the West Wales Model Railway Exhibition will be taking place on 11 August at Neuadd Llwyncelyn Hall, just south of Aberaeron. Visitors will be most welcome.
The next monthly meeting of the society will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 17 July, when they will be welcoming Bill Roebuck back to talk to us about the narrow gauge railways of Colorado. The venue is the Royal British Legion Hall in Victoria Street.
