MEMBERS of the Dyfi U3A group held an exhibition after the group joined a project to celebrate Wales’s coastline and borders area.
The Dyfi U3A worked with other groups to catalogue an area between Borth and Barmouth with their work being shown at Machynlleth’s Bowling Club after it had been displayed at the All Wales Conference in Llandrindod Wells on 9 May.
Barbara Friar, project leader, said: “In 2017 a member of Flint U3A suggested we adopt a coastline and borders celebration project.
“All U3As were invited to participate. At present 25 are involved, and Dyfi U3A became interested in the project.
“Members decided to interpret an area from Borth to Barmouth, and eight of Dyfi’s interest groups agreed to participate. Five individual members also submitted studies.
“All the material was collated and an exhibition set up. This was displayed at the All Wales Conference on 9 May.
“Coastline and Borders is an ongoing project which will culminate in another exhibition in 2019.”
