Carnival
ANOTHER successful Carnifal Llandysul & Pontweli Carnival event was recorded at the AGM on Tuesday, 11 September at the Porth Hotel, with the meeting beginning with the presentations of cheques.
The chairperson thanked everyone for all support and help throughout the year and it was agreed to carry on with the carnival preparations for 2019.
Teifi Surgery
THERE will be a drop in session at the Neuadd Tysul hall on Thursday, 4 October from 2pm-6.30pm, open to everyone.

A 200 Club has started, with great prizes ever month, don’t miss out as you help the centre and the surrounding area.

Clwb Croeso
THE meeting was re-convened on Tuesday, 11 September at the Porth Hotel after the summer break.
Chairman Mary Williams extended a warm welcome to all those present and proceeded with all the notices.
Mrs Williams then introduced the speaker for the afternoon.
Mererid Jones, of Cyngor Sir Ceredigion, gave an interesting and informative talk on recycling. It was a detailed talk on what we can and what we cannot put into the paper sacks, black bags, garden waste etc. Ms Jones also went on to explain what happens to the recycling once it has been collected.
Keith Evans gave a vote of thanks. Afternoon refreshments were then served with thanks to ttea hostesses. A total of 30 members were present.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, 9 October at 2pm at Porth Hotel, which is the Thanksgiving Service. The collection from this service will be donated to HUTS – a charity for adults with mental health challenges.
Library
THERE will be another story session on Thursday, 1 November at 11am, with suitable stories and crafts for all ages.
The open day will be on Saturday, 13 October with a special coffee morning to raise money for the library.

History Society
NEXT meeting will be on Wednesday, 26 September at 7.15pm in Neuadd Tysul: ‘Someone’s Watching You, History of Aerial Photography over Wales’, speaker: Medwyn Parry, Royal Commission.
Cymdeithas Hanes
UNWAITH eto mae’r Gymdeithas Hanes yn dechrau’r Penwythnos Gerdded gyda thaith gerdded hanesyddol o Bont-tyweli ar nos Wener, 28 Medi am 5.30yh. Cwrdd ym maes parcio’r Paddlers ac yn gorffen yn y Half Moon.
Merched Cylch Cletwr
AN enjoyable meeting was held at Tynewydd, Gorrig on Wednesday, 5 September when members had a Chinese meal and a craft session.
Next meeting will be at Tresi Aur on 1 November at 1.30pm for a session of jewellery.
The meal will be on 17 November at the Red Lion, Drefach Felindre.
Walking Weekend
THIS will take place at the end of October with lovely walks arranged, as well as a ‘twmpath dawns’ and afternoon tea. Please join in the fun.
