The president extended a warm welcome to members and guests at the October meeting held at the Tysul Hall.

With the business matters over, members were reminded of the group meeting at Llanybydder on Friday, 19 October, AGM at Carmarthen on 17 November, and also that the indoor bowls continues at the leisue centre on Tuesdays.

The guest speaker for the evening was katherine Lee, president of the Carmarthen Floral Art Society.

Her enthusiasm and ability were evident from start to finish. She produced four different arrangements using flowers, home grown herbs and vegetables. The displays were then raffled. Lesley gave the vote of thanks.

The next meeting is at the Tysul Hall on 1 November, AGM and 100 years of anniversaries. Competion – medal. Please note early start 6.30pm.

Church Services

SUNDAY, 28 October – Llandysul, 8am, Communion; 11am, Cymun; Bangor Teifi, 2pm, visiting the PoW church at Henllan; Llangeler, 3pm, cwrdd arbennig.

Concert cancelled

DUE to stormy weather, the concert in aid of cancer, was cancelled. Another date will be organised most probably in the New Year.

Library

OPENING Times: Tuesday 10am-5pm; Thursday 10am-5pm; Saturday 10am-1pm.

Story Time: Thursday, 1 November at 11am for children up to seven years old; and 11.30am for children over seven years old.

There will be arts and crafts during the sessions, all free and suitable for Welsh and English speakers, as well as learners.

Coffee Morning

ON Saturday, 13 October, despite the wet weekend, the coffee morning went on as a part of the open day at the library. Thanks to all who came to help and support.
