THE meeting was held at the Porth Hotel on Tuesday, 12 February at 2pm, which was resumed following the Christmas break. Mary Williams, chairman, opened the meeting with a warm welcome to all, especially to two new members, Beth Davies and Linda Thomas. Following all the notices, the speaker for the afternoon was introduced, Dafydd Llywelyn, Police and Crime Commissioner. It was a most interesting talk and was enjoyed by all those present. A vote of thanks was given by Keith Evans. After the refreshments, the meeting was then closed.

Tractor run
THERE will be a tractor run on Saturday, 6 April, commencing at 10am with tea at the Gwarcefel Arms.

Walkers are Welcome
ON Sunday, 24 February there will be a Lampeter walk, seven miles, about four hours walking, 10am for mini-bus from Llandysul car park (additional charge of £1) or meet at Cwmins car park in Lampeter (St Thomas Street) at 10.30am. It is a circular walk starting in the outskirts of Lampeter and through the university (oldest after Oxford and Cambridge) before a short but steep ascent to the community woodland of Longwood. They then hike through fields above the woodland visiting the ancient fort sites of Castell Allt-goch and Castell Goetre before returning through the woods to Lampeter. Requirements: sturdy footwear; rain gear; food and drink (hot if cold weather). No dogs due to lambing.
