PRESIDENT Susanaah Van Eegan, welcomed members to the January meeting and wished everyone a very happy new year.

After all business letters, correspondence and newsletter were read and discussed, the secretary, Melinda Jarratt, read the minutes from the last meeting.

This was followed by a whist, organized by Rhian and Myfanwy and the top score was won by Judith, followed by Hazel and Elizabeth.

Sheila Newby thanked Rhian and Myfanwy for a very enjoyable evening and also the tea hostesses Anne, Marion and Sue for the very tasty sandwiches provided.

The competition of a best gaming event was won by Judith. The next meeting will be at Tyssul Hall on Thursday, 2 February, when guest Wendy Davies will be giving a demonstration on flower arranging. Competition will be best flower arrangement in a tea cup.
