Community council
THE community council met on 7 November to discuss the correspondence and matters raised by the community.
Following a request to the Trunk Road Agency, a copy of the result of a traffic survey carried out in March near the entrance to Pentre Isaf was received.
The results showed that 85 per cent of motorists drove at below the 40mph limit, with the seven-day average southbound traffic at 35mph and the northbound 34mph.
The volume of traffic using the road on a seven-day average was 3,579 southbound and 3,582 northbound.
The clerk was asked to reply to say thank you for the results, but the village is asking again for pedestrian crossings to be installed, one near the memorial hall and one near to the village bridge.
The report, written by the Independent Renumeration Panel for Wales on payments to elected members of Welsh town and community councils, discussed last month was a draft and observations raised should be sent to the panel by 27 November.
Notice of a planning application A180989 – to demolish an existing extension and to build a new extension at Tynrhos, Llanrhystud, was received.
A poster was received from Ceredigion County Council advertising Carers, Rights Day and another from the NHS advertising the new non-emergency number ‘Phone 111’ both of these will be posted on the village noticeboard.
Permission was given to pay Mr H Morgan £50 for cutting the grass around the village noticeboard.
The next meeting is on Wednesday, 5 December, at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall.
