Community council
LLANRHYSTUD Community Council met on 1 May to discuss the correspondence and matters raised by the community.
After considering objections raised by a member of the community it was decided keep the Heol Islwyn brick built bus shelter as it is and not to replace it with an aluminium one.
No objections were raised to the request made by the trunk road authority to removing the milk stand on the A487 at the entrance to Tregynan Uchaf.
The terms made by the Independent Remuneration Panel relating to payments made to members of Town and Community Councils were considered and decisions made on how to implement them.
At the end of the financial year details of any payments made to members will be published on the village noticeboard and on the website and the Independent Remuneration Panel will also be notified as required.
A risk assessment document was circulated and considered and on its basis it was decided to accept the terms of the insurance renewal document which had been received quoting a premium of £710.26. Notice had been received that the annual inspection of the play equipment will be carried out in June.
The clerk reported that a post on social media had alerted her to the fact that one of the hand/toe stones on the climbing wall had broken.
Permission was given to purchase new stones in order to repair the wall.
The clerk had prepared the accounts for 2018/19 and the internal auditor had completed the audit.
His report was accepted and permission given to pay his fee. It was also resolved to approve the accounts and sections 1 and 2 of the annual report, this together with relevant paperwork will be sent to the external auditor for final approval.
The next meeting will be held on 5 June at 7.30pm in the memorial hall.
