IT was so good to see everybody after the summer break.
They had 17 members attending, plus hopefully, one new member Lesley, who Christine welcomed when she opened the meeting.
The main part of the business was organising the 70th Anniversary celebrations.
They have invited Federation guests to join them for an afternoon to remember in Eglwys Llanwenog Church at 2pm on 14 October to celebrate with Côr Lleisiau’r Werin conducted by Elonwy Davies followed by afternoon tea in Eglwysfach.
The speaker for the evening was Pam Kerr who taught them needle felting.
She showed some of her work, which included squares of organic felted wool, with shapes needle felted onto them.
There was also a small felted cat, Christmas decorations and a mobile.
They were all given a square of the felted wool, a box of shapes, and small amounts of Marino wool, which Pam suggested was one of the best to use for felting.
They used the shapes to fill in with the coloured wool onto the felted square.
They had a lovely evening with lots of lively chatter.
Pam supervised them well and was quite surprised that there were no screams and no plasters used!
The vote of thanks was given by Linda.
Pam judged the competition, and was won by Kay, with Liz in xsecond, and Rosemary in third.
Thanks to Dona and Beryl who offered to make the teas as everyone else was busy felting.
The next meeting is on 5 October at 7.30pm in Eglwys Llanwenog Church.
New members always welcome.
