BRENDA James from Gorseinon organised an event at Quay West holiday park to say thank you for all the help that her family has received from British Heart Foundation Cymru and raised over £2,000 to help BHF fight for every heartbeat.

The stall event was extremely successful and there were several activities including a cake stall, a raffle and auction, several participation game nights which included Mr and Mrs and card games, name the teddy.

Brenda said: “I decided to organise an event at the caravan park and had so much help and support from my friends and family, also support from the manager and staff members at the park, as well as local businesses who donated raffle and auction prizes.

“We held so many different activities over two weekends and had some wonderful auction prizes; a local couple donated their caravan as an auction prize for a week’s holiday, we also had Dolphin excursions to name just a few. The amount of support received was so very much appreciated.”

The event was extremely successful raising over £2,000 for BHF Cymru and Brenda and friends are now looking forward to organise several more events on the site throughout the year for BHF Cymru.
