Macular Support Group
A SUPPORT group which helps increase the confidence and independence of people affected by macular degeneration, moves to a new venue on Friday, 7 April.The Pwllheli Macular Support Group, which meets from 1pm to 3pm on the first Friday of every month, will be relocating to Canolfan Felin Fach Centre, Penlan Street LL53 5DE.The Macular Society, together with local people, organises the group, which aims to offer information, encouragement and friendship to people who are affected by the condition.Elgan Owen, Macular Society regional manager, said: “This group is here for anybody affected by macular degeneration and we want to encourage people to come along. Friends and family are also very welcome.”
Cadets donate Easter eggs to sick children
PWLLHELI Cadets have donated 22 Easter eggs to Gordon Hughes from Pwllheli to give to children in Ysbyty Gwynedd over the Easter period.The cadets collected the eggs after noticing on Facebook that Gordon had bought 30 eggs himself and was asking others if they would like to donate.With the help of the cadets, Home Bargains staff in Pwllheli and kind people, Gordon has collected over 100 eggs.
