Clwb Cerdded/Walking Club THE next walk is scheduled for 13 July and has been organised by Lucy Swannell/Avarinah Davies – 01974 261789/07938 787926. ‘Discover the coast – Llanrhystud to Aberystwyth’ is the name of the walk. This stretch of the Ceredigion Coast Path, which forms part of the 870 miles Wales Coast Path, is remote and dramatic which will make the slopes you’ll encounter worth the effort. They will use the hourly bus service between Aberystwyth and Llanrhystud to get to the start, then walk back to Aberystywth enjoying spectacular cliff top views, scenic pit stops and looking out for ‘Twll Twrw’ (the noise hole) also known as Monk’s Cave. The walk is to last approximately six hours and is graded an Easy walk over a distance of 9.5 miles, with an ascent of 2,100ft/650 m. Meet at Aberystwyth bus station – allow enough time for the 10am bus. Lift shares will be arranged and exact bus time/stop confirmed nearer the time.
