An Aberporth 71-year-old has been banned from the road for a year for careless driving on the A487.

Wynn Randle L Morris, of Bwthyn y Chwarel, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 14 October.

The court heard that Morris was seen driving without due care and attention in a Range Rover on the A487 between Llanarth and Synod Inn on 9 May.

Magistrates disqualified Morris from driving for 12 months and fined him £769.

He must also pay £85 costs and a £308 surcharge.
