A 41-year-old man has been sentenced to 19 years for sexually assaulting a child.

David Morris, of Towyn Road, Blaenau Ffestiniog, appeared for sentencing at Mold Crown Court on 24 September.

He had previously been found guilty by trial of three counts of sexual assault, five counts of voyeurism and one count of making indecent images of a child.

He was jailed for 15 years with an extended period of four years to be served on license, bringing the total sentence to 19 years.

Morris was also made subject of a 20-year sexual harm prevention order and must register as a sex offender indefinitely.

A restraining order was also imposed, preventing Morris from contacting the victim ever again.
