A Llanbadarn Fawr man who stalked a woman and threatened to share an intimate photograph of her will be electronically tagged as part of a community order imposed by magistrates.

Alexander Manluctao, of 8 Clos Ceitho, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court for sentencing on 12 August.

The 55-year-old had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 1 July to charges of stalking involving serious alarm or distress and threatening to share a photograph of a person in an intimate state.

In July, Manluctao admitted stalking the woman in both Aberystwyth and Swansea between 1 April and 11 August last year.

He also admitted a separate charge of threatening to share a photograph of her “in an intimate state” in Aberystwyth between 31 October 2024 and 31 December last year.

The court heard that Manluctao “attended the victims home address”, “sent multiple text messages and phone calls”, “posted a letter through her door” and “approached her friends to make contact with her.”

The court also heard that Manluctao’s actions had a “substantial adverse effect on her usual day-to-day activities.”

Manluctao was handed a 24 month community order by magistrates for the offences.

The order will include electronic monitoring until 11 February next year.

Manluctao will also have to undertake 200 hours of unpaid work as part of the community order as well as take part in up to 15 days of rehabilitation activities.

He was also made the subject of a three year restraining order banning him from communicating with the victim in any way nor attending her home or work addresses.

Manluctao was also ordered by magistrates to pay compensation to the victim of £500, costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £114.
