A man who scaled a roof of an Aberystwyth property after police turned up to reports of a domestic altercation will stand trial later this month charged with intentional strangulation, assault and criminal damage.
Alex Smith, now of Flat 3, 14 Cambrian Place, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 2 September.
Smith initially appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on 31 July after being arrested then charged with assault and intentional strangulation of a woman as well criminal damage at Upper Queen’s Road on 29 July.
Smith was remanded on custody by Llanelli magistrates at that hearing.
At Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 2 September, Smith was further remanded in custody by magistrates ahead of a planned trial on 17 September.
