TWO men have been charged with assault in connection with an attack that left an Aberystwyth student in a coma.

Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that the two men have been charged following the attack on 19-year-old student Ifan Richards Owens on High Street, Aberystwyth, in the early hours of Sunday, 14 January.

David Lloyd, 25, and Billy Michael Valentine, 19, have both been charged with assault and were due to appear in Haverfordwest Magistrates Court today.

Of the other three men arrested in connection with the investigation, one man remains on bail and the other two men remain released under investigation.
