A Capel Bangor man has begun training for a gruelling 24-hour session on a rowing machine to raise money for Wales Air Ambulance in memory of his son who died in a car crash.
Bleddyn Jones, 51, is hoping to raise as much cash as possible for the crews who battled to save the life of his five-year-old son Ned following a car crash on the A470 near Rhayader, on Good Friday two years ago.
He will be doing a solo 24-hour row on an indoor rowing machine at Aberystwyth Rugby Club on 7 and 8 December, and is hoping to break the world record for his age group, 50 to 59, for the amount of metres rowed in 24 hours on a Concept2 indoor rower.
Bleddyn and his wife Sharon and family have already raised over £2,000 for Wales Air Ambulance following Ned’s death.
