COLEG Ceredigion is to donate old computers to Syrian refugees who have moved to Ceredigion.

The college is updating its IT system, so was left with a range of older PCs that were not needed. It has been agreed that the computers should be donated to Syrian families living in the county.

IT students at the college will now work on the computers to ensure they are ready for use.

A Coleg Ceredigion spokesperson said: “The college has been working closely with AberAid and the aim is to donate the old PCs to the Syrian refugee families with students currently studying at the college.

"The IT department plans to invite the families to see what programmes they would like to be installed, therefore customising each computer to the families’ needs.”
