STUDENTS from a Pwllheli college have launched three new Welsh language apps thanks to a grant of over £15,000 from the Welsh Government.
Students from Grwp Llandrillo Menai’s Pwllheli campus have launched the apps for smartphones and mobile devices with a Welsh-language Technology and Digital Media grant.
Since being awarded the grant in March 2015, a team of dedicated A-level students have worked tirelessly to develop their coding skills.
They have also delivered training workshops to their fellow students and pupils from local secondary schools, with the aim of getting more people coding and producing Welsh language digital content.
Clwb Aps is based at the college’s Pwllheli campus and is overseen by Gwennan Richards, a lecturer in Information Communication Technology and the college’s Welsh Baccalaureate co-ordinator.
