AN eight-year-old Llanon girl has had 19 inches of her hair cut off to create a wig for a young girl suffering with cancer.

It was reported in the Cambrian News in January that Abia Almoosa, who lives in Nebo and is a pupil at Ysgol Gynradd Wirfoddol Myfenydd, Llanrhystud was aiming to raise £400 for the Little Princess Trust, the amount of money which would allow the charity to be able to make a wig from her hair.

Abia last week had 19 inches of her hair cut off by Kevin Kersley of KJ Hair Studio, Llanon, after raising a staggering £1,165 — almost three times what she hoped to raise.
