A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl has taken part in a sponsored walk, raising over £300 for Cylch Meithrin y Tonnau.
Eva Joyce (pictured) from Llanaber walked the length of Barmouth bridge and just beyond before turning round and walking all the way back to raise money for the local cylch.
Mum Emma Blackwell said the walk is roughly two miles and Eva’s brother did the same thing for the same cause in 2019 when he was three years old.
“She is following in her big brother’s footsteps,” said Emma.
When asked if Eva enjoyed her walk, Emma hesitated, before saying: “Not so much on the way back…but she was singing ‘Hip hip hooray’ when she saw that the end of the walk was near.”
Eva’s walk took place on 23 March.
“She walked from the top of the road all the way along and down to the Morfa Mawddach request stop,” Emma explained.
And Eva’s efforts have raised £335 for the cylch in Barmouth.
Emma added: “We would like to thank everyone who has donated.
“It’s just brilliant, especially now when people are furloughed and times are hard.
“We are really overwhelmed.”
