FROM the hills of the Dyfi Valley to mountain farming in Peru, two Machynlleth farmers are taking on an exciting new challenge this Christmas.

After herding hundreds of reindeer in Norway in a festive programme on S4C two years ago, hill farmers Wil Hendreseifion and Aeron Pughe (pictured) travelled to Peru to live with local people in one of the world’s most challenging rural environments, and to learn about the Inca community.

They will be seen working alongside the Inca shepherds of the Andes in the programme on Sunday, 27 December on S4C.
