Fewer minor roads in the county are set to be gritted in the winter if a planned £25,000 cut to the service is voted through, councillors have heard.
Ceredigion County Council has outlined plans to “review and reduce winter gritting routes” from this year, in a bid to shave £25,000 off the service’s cost.
The figure will see approximately a 10 per cent saving, meaning that dozens of roads that are currently gritting when bad weather hits will now not be treated from winter 2024.
