AN Aberystwyth-based film company has scooped its second national award in three years.

The production and digital marketing company, AMP Media, picked up the award from ACoRP (the National Association of Community Rail Partnerships) for ‘A Helping Hand’, a film they have produced for people with special or additional learning needs.

Their first award was also from ACoRP.

The film provides information on how to plan and organise rail journeys on the UK Rail Network, book assistance and how to use the Orange Wallet scheme. The film was produced in collaboration with the Cambrian Railways Partnership, Arriva Train Wales, Derwen College in Oswestry and with the help of Coleg Ceredigion, Virgin Trains and the British Transport Police.

The project is the second short information film produced by AMP Media to win national recognition and one of the first resources of its type anywhere in the UK.

“Although we work with national brands across the UK, this is a project we are particularly proud of,” said Charles Symons, chief executive of AMP Media.See this week's south editions for the full story or read the digital edition by clicking the tab at the top of the page
