A SELFLESS little girl from Barmouth has donated her hair to help children suffering from the repercussions of cancer treatment.

India Seren Catherwood, a four-year-old Ysgol y Traeth pupil, chopped off her hair in order to gift it to The Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK that have sadly lost their own hair through medical treatment.

“Proudest mummy in the world,” Libby Catherwood told the Cambrian News about her daughter’s act of courage.

Although only four years old, India has developed a altruistic, generous nature.

Libby added: “She told me this morning that she would like to grow her hair again now even longer so she can have it cut and give it to another little boy or girl."
