A PHOTOGRAPHER managed to catch the moment an aviator gave him a wave when flashing through the Mach Loop on Wednesday.

Iain Knox was quick on the draw to capture the high-flying incident as a friendly aviator waved at him and other photographers on the Talyllyn Pass.

Iain explains: “It was taken on Wednesday afternoon (12 January) in the Mach Loop in Snowdonia. It shows an RAF Hawk trainer passing at low level with the navigator waving to the photographers on the hillside as they passed.”

The image was taken with a Canon 5D4 plus Sigma 150-600mm at 1/800sec.
