HYWEL Dda Health Board has apologised after Bronglais Hospital recruitment adverts at London railway stations provided the wrong website address and included the logo for a neighbouring health board.
The adverts are part of the health board’s efforts to attract staff as it looks to find new ways of recruiting staff, but the health board has admitted that errors had been made.
That included a error in the website address for the health board, and the use of the Abertawe Bro Morgannwg logo and board name on the bottom of the poster.
Karen Detweiler, who saw one of the posters advertising an open day at Bronglais Hospital on 14 October, said: “Great to see ads all over London railway stations trying to recruit staff for Bronglais. Shame about the error in the website address and the attribution to the wrong health board in the footer. One wonders how much this shambles cost.”
Lisa Gostling, the board’s director of workforce and organisational development, said: “We would like to apologise for this oversight and would like to reassure members of the public that we hired a professional marketing campaign organisation to produce the posters, with whom we are currently in the process of liaising to remove the posters and negotiate a new campaign at no extra cost to the NHS."
