THREE new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Ceredigion today as Mark Drakeford announces a pause to lockdown easing.
Across Wales, 163 new cases have been identified today with 11 being recorded in Powys.
Elsewhere, Carmarthenshire has recorded four new cases, Ceredigion, three; Pembrokeshire, one and Gwynedd, two.
Some of the highest daily cases are in south east and north east Wales with 23 new cases being reported in Cardiff and Flintshire.
No new deaths have been recorded today however, with the death toll since the start of the pandemic remaining at 5,572.
Speaking last night, First Minister, Mark Drakeford said the latest figures show there are almost 490 cases of the delta variant in Wales and more than four out five new Covid cases in Wales are the delta variant and two-thirds of these are not linked to travel or contact with another case, suggesting community spread.
In light of the rise in cases across Wales, a four-week pause to lifting lockdown measures has been introduced with a drive to boost the number of people who have received both jabs of the vaccine.
