CEREDIGION has had only one new confirmed Covid-19 cases reported by Public Health Wales this week.

Yesterday (Friday’s) daily figures show that Ceredigion still has the fewest confirmed cases in Wales at 36, up from 35 last week. The second lowest figure is more than double the Ceredigion tally - Anglesey, with 83 cases.

The new cases reported in North, Mid and West Wales on Friday were:

Ceredigion 0 (total 36)

Powys 2 (total 171)

Gwynedd 4 (total 233)

Carmarthenshire 10 (total 473)

Pembrokeshire 1 (total 211)

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Wales is updated daily at 2pm by Public Health Wales. Cases are only confirmed when a positive test has taken place.

A total of 160 new confirmed cases were reported in Wales yesterday, bringing the total to 9,972.

The number of suspected Covid deaths reported to Public Health Wales now stands at 925.
