CAN you help Mr Malcolm find out more about his carriage?
Roland Malcolm is appealing to Timewatch readers to help him put together the history of this interesting vehicle.
“I acquired this carriage about 18 months ago,” he explained, “and it has now been mechanically recommissioned, registered with its original number and is back on the road doing what its manufacturer designed it for.
“It was originally registered to Emrys Williams of 48 Portland Street, Aberystwyth on 7 July 1939 as a Murphy Invalid Carriage, registration number EJ 6342.
“I got this information from the Vehicle Records Archive in Aberystwyth.
“I am trying to find as much of the carriage’s history as I can and was hoping that a small piece in your newspaper might jog someone’s memory.
“Any information would be gratefully received.”
Does this jog your memory? Mr Malcolm from Kidwelly hopes so.
If so, please write to Julie McNicholls Vale at Timewatch, Cambrian News, 7 Aberystwyth Science Park, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion SY23 3AH, or email her at [email protected].
