The Great Llangynfelyn Cake Party

THE PARISH of Llangynfelyn will be celebrating the arrival of its third and final life-saving heart defibrillator with an afternoon party on Saturday, 9 April – and village organisations are busy in the kitchen cooking up tasty treats to tempt locals to join in.Welsh Hearts, which has helped finance the new machine, will be handing over the machine to the community at Llanfach, Tre-Taliesin at 2.30pm.Members of Welsh Hearts will also be giving a demonstration on how to use the equipment. Scrumptious homemade cakes will be on sale, with coffee and scones for everyone.There will also be a number of stalls and a raffle with prizes including spring hampers, a voucher for Huw Lewis Tyres and many more.All the money raised on the day will got to Welsh Hearts to support them in their work to provide local safety equipment across Wales.“Anyone who’d like to put up a stall to sell their own products is welcome – the more the merrier,” said Mai Leeding, chair of the Llangynfelyn Defibrillator Support Group.For further details, call 01970 832672.
