Madam,

On Saturday 28 November about 300 people marched through Aberystwyth demanding action on climate change. The march had been organised by Julie Makin and myself, both from Ceredigion Green Party. We organised it in conjunction with Avaaz, the global organisation acting on climate change and many other issues. In the evening I received a phone call from Avaaz thanking me for organising the march. I, in turn, wish to thank the following people and organisations for helping to make this event a success.

First of all I wish to thank the marvellous Samba band Samba Agogo for accompanying us all the way. Next I wish to thank Côr Gobaith for their wonderful words and voices. I wish to thank the speakers Alice Hooker-Stroud, Grenville Ham, Cynog Dafis, Brian Dafydd Williams, Adrian Ramsey and Jill Gough for all their inspirational speeches. I also wish to thank Dyfed-Powys Police for their trust in us, allowing this event to be marshalled by ourselves. Finally, I need to thank all the people who turned out in the rain and the wind to make their voices heard, to say loud and clear, to express with beautiful banners, that politicians are expected to step up to the plate in Paris this week and come to an agreement that will halt dangerous climate change. Our children depend on them; they deserve a home that is safe.

Yours etc,

Elly Foster,Temple Bar,Lampeter.
