A MOTHER and her baby were rushed to hospital after their car overturned near the Penmaenpool Bridge.
On Monday afternoon, emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash on the A496 where a Vauxhall Meriva had flipped and sustained heavy damage.
A mother and baby required immediate treatment and were subsequently transferred to Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth.
The road was closed for several hours as a result of the incident.

“We were called on Monday, 21 December, at approximately 2.25pm to reports of a road traffic accident involving one vehicle that had overturned on the A496 in the general area of Llanelltyd,” the spokesperson said.
“We responded with one emergency ambulance and a mother and her baby were treated on scene and are being taken to Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth.”
