A HEARTBROKEN Drefach Felindre mum whose three-month-old daughter died of a heart defect says she is “stunned” at the response to an online petition she and her grieving partner have set up.

Gemma Williams and Jason Thomas were left devastated when their tiny daughter Lexi died suddenly during a shopping trip in Carmarthen in March 2013.

They have since launched a campaign for all newborns to be tested for heart conditions “so no other parents have to go through what we had to through”.
