FORMER Pwllheli Grammar School pupils have flown in from all over the world for a glamorous reunion.

In 1967, 96 people attended the school for the first time. Now, five decades later, 55 of those pupils have returned to the Llyn Peninsula to relive their childhood memories.

People travelled from all across the UK and Europe to make the event, with some former students flying in from as far afield as Israel, Canada and Australia. Elen Wyn Jones helped organise the event and was delighted with how the reunion weekend unfolded.

“It was amazing, everyone soon reverted to type,” she told the Cambrian News.

“We’re all in our early 60s now but within minutes we were 10 years old again, enjoying the same jokes and camaraderie as we did all that time ago.

“The years just fell away, it was like we’d never been apart. I’d like to thank everyone for coming and making the weekend as memorable as it was.”
