Madam,

Once again Pwllheli’s South Beach has won the much-coveted Blue Flag accolade. Congratulations to the authorities who submitted the application.

Most unfortunately for the reputation of Pwllheli, the public toilets at South Beach were closed over the spring bank holiday. Common sense must prevail. Broken toilets must be repaired.

What a shame the council failed to use stop-gap measures, with portaloos, rather than a sign directing the public to facilities nearly a mile away.
