A mid Wales town is getting into the Halloween spirit with a pumpkin festival planned for this weekend.

On Saturday, 23 October, Great Oak Street in Llanidloes will be pedestrianised from 9am until 10pm and will be filled with market stalls, activities, music, food and fun.

A host of pumpkin-related competitions will be held throughout the day including beautiful carved, best pumpkin cake, pie and chutney and most beautiful lantern, to name a few.

Prizes have been donated by local shops and organisations as well as award winning authors.

One of the organisers, Joe Arrowsmith said: “We are delighted to announce some additions to our upcoming Llanidloes Pumpkin Festival.
