A FAMILY, a school, and a whole community have marked World Down Syndrome Day.
Ifan Eurwyn Williams, 8, has the condition and marked the day with his brother and peers at Ysgol Pentreuchaf last Wednesday.
Across the country people wore odd socks or an extra sock to celebrate those with the syndrome.
People around the world are wearing odd socks and using the hashtag #LotsOfSocks on social media to raise awareness of the cause.
Socks have been used as the symbol because chromosomes are shaped like socks and people with Down’s syndrome are born with an extra one.
