THE RNLI say they are accelerating their service roll-out as hundreds of sunseekers flock to Ceredigion beaches as Covid-19 lockdown restrictions are eased.
Pembrokeshire lifeguards were on patrol at Poppit Sands, Newport Sands, Whitesands and Newgale Central from the weekend.
An RNLI spokesman told the Cambrian News lifeguards would be introduced to other beaches shortly.
“The RNLI is accelerating its service roll-out and has introduced lifeguards to a number of Welsh beaches,” he said.
“We are currently in discussions with local authorities and other landowners to finalise the list of beaches.
“We are confident discussions will be completed shortly and we will then be able to confirm these details."
