Runners got into the festive spirit in Llanrhystud on Sunday for a Santa Fun Run.

In total, 110 runners left Pengarreg and headed to the beach and back in Llanrhystud wearing Santa hats and reindeer tiaras to raise money for the National Autistic Society and Ysgol Myfenydd.

The run was organised by eight-year-old Trystan Evans and his mum, Angharad.

Angharad said: “It was great that so many people turned up to take part. We were expecting around 50 so to get over 100 people turning up to take part was great.

“We were really lucky with the weather too.

“We have raised £863 so far, but are hoping to get it up to £1,000.”
