Regarding the comments made at Gwynedd Council’s language committee meeting last week(‘People need to choose between being Welsh or British’). This division will cause untold amounts of misery, not only for the children but also for Wales.

People need to wake up and see what a poor job these politicians have been doing over the past 20 years, they should be discussing an education strategic plan to address the decline in educational standards.British people live in the UK.They are people who live in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

British people can also either be English, Scottish, Welsh, or Northern Irish.The British are famous for their politeness, self-discipline and especially for their sense of humour.Perhaps Mr Williams has a point, we may well not be as British as we thought we were!
