I read with interest the feature in last week’s Cambrian News reminding us to check our vehicles as we prepare to return to the roads following the lockdown. But not mentioned was speed.
Last week I tried strimming an area of my property alongside the road in Cribyn, well talk about taking my life in my hands!
We are in a 30mph speed limit, although you would not think it. Cars, vans and lorry skimmed past me at speeds well in excess of the limit, one I would estimate at around 70mph!.
Over the last two years I have spoken to the police and crime commissioner, the council, police, but all pass the buck.
My hope in writing to you is that at least some drivers will remember that well-worn phrase Speed kills and slow down.
