Madam,

Just before Christmas it was my privilege and pleasure to see the Aberystwyth Arts Centre’s Youth Theatre perform Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. What a performance - from the very first bar of music to the end it was pure entertainment.

The energy, talent, discipline and pure joy displayed by these young performers was a joy to watch. The team behind them did an amazing job as the performance just flowed. A huge congratulations to each and every one of them for providing such entertainment.

At a time when all we are told is that young people spend all their time on phones and games etc, it is heartwarming to see this group give so much of their time and energy to rehearsing for our entertainment.

Last week at the Memorial Hall, Aberaeron (as part of the Front of House team), I watched three performances of the Vicar of Dibley by the cast of Memorama. To say I was entertained is the understatement of the year - they were fantastic and kept the audience laughing from beginning to end.

On Saturday night the audience rose to them at the end of the final act and had the “vicar” not stopped the applause I’m not sure how long we would have been there.

Congratulations to the three new directors and to the cast. You did it again - the FOH team are so proud of you. Looking forward to the next performances.

Yours etc,

Marian Jones, Aberaeron.
